ABOUT NATALIE LAYNE
Growing up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Natalie Layne was constantly surrounded by music. Her family instilled in her a love of music from a young age as she watched her mom sing and lead worship, and her dad play bass and trombone. They knew from the beginning that Natalie had a song in her heart. Natalie’s grandma was her first piano teacher, introducing topics such as songwriting, notation, and improvisation. She began to love classical and jazz music as well as popular song styles.
Natalie began leading worship at the age of 12 and spent much of her time at church. She learned to lead worship and write her own songs from several worship pastors, including Cory Asbury, Jon Egan, and Jared Anderson. By the age of 14, she was leading teams of musicians at New Life Church, serving in their youth ministries. In high school and college, Natalie travelled to other churches across America leading worship and sharing her original songs.
Currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Natalie writes, co-produces, and releases her own music. She has continued to lead worship at Ethos Church after completing her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Commercial Piano at Belmont University. She describes her sound as “CCM, always with a hint of soul.” After releasing singles “Burn Every Ship,” “Gracious,” and “You,” Natalie began creating her debut album Be Human that released on July 3rd, 2020. On her summer tour, Natalie travelled across the country opening for Chris Tomlin, We the Kingdom, and Jeremy Camp. Her newest EP Castles has made a splash in the CCM world, and most recently, her single "Love Me Back to Life" has gained millions of views on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
